INTERNATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S DAY

Today is INTERNATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE DAY! 💙

What is Alzheimer's disease?
It is a degenerative brain disease in which brain cells decline and their functions are extinguished. It significantly affects the patient's quality of life. The person cannot remember what he or she used to know, has difficulty remembering the names of objects and cannot operate simple devices such as telephones. He or she does not recognise family members, puts things in unusual places and then cannot find them, does not remember what he or she has said and asks others the same questions over and over again. A person with dementia is unable to understand different concepts and plan. He or she loses control of his or her moods and feelings, and may be inattentive or irritable. The disease does not only affect patients of advanced age, but also the younger generation. Want to know more about this disease? Do you need professional help? Or would you like to be part of our team?

During the week of 2-8 October 2023, we are holding open days at our facilities as part of a nationwide Social Services Week. We look forward to seeing you!
